We can’t wait to see their creative designs! The remaining six boxes will be saved for next year or used in another exciting project—watch this space.

National Environmental Campaigns – Things to Think About This March

🌍 World Wildlife Day – 3rd MarchThis day celebrates the world's wild animals and plants, marking the anniversary of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). It’s a great time to learn about conservation efforts and how we can protect endangered species.

♻️ Global Recycling Day – 18th MarchA day to rethink waste! Many items we throw away can be reused or recycled, reducing our impact on the planet. Why not challenge yourself to cut down on single-use plastics or learn more about what can be recycled in our area?

💧 World Water Day – 22nd MarchThis year’s theme is ‘Leveraging Water for Peace’, highlighting the global challenge of providing clean water and sanitation for all. In Enstone, our river monitoring projects help protect water quality locally—join us on the 12th to get involved!

💡 Earth Hour – 23rd March (8:30 - 9:30 PM)Switch off your lights for one hour and show your support for the planet! This symbolic action, organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is a reminder of how much energy we use and the impact it has on our environment.

Why Join Green Gym?

We often work alongside Chipping Norton Green Gym, a fantastic group dedicated to conservation projects. They meet regularly to work on tasks like hedge laying, woodland management, tree planting, and path clearing. It’s free to join, and no experience is needed—just a love for the outdoors! Find out more on their website or come along to one of our joint sessions.

Get Involved!
